Minaya needs to do something to shake up this team. It's crazy that they waited this long. Fire Willie, trade Delgado. Do something...

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. How low do we need to sink? Last place?
Double digits behind Philly? I'd love to know what the game plan is - that is if
Omar has one!!! This team has beeb beaten into submission. I am convinced
that we have too many players that cannot handle the pressure of playing in NY.
We have NO on-the-field leader, which would not be such a problem if we had a
strong leader for a manager, but we have Mr. "We'll Get 'Em Tomorrow" Randolph
at the helm. Oh, and by the way, Willie - have you ever considered letting a starting
pitcher finish a game??? It's called a complete game and it's what a true ace does
on occasion to give the bullpen a break!!! PLEAE OMAR, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a shocker. Alou is probably headed back to the DL.
I'm trying to stay positive. Can it get much worse?

Todd, if you visit sny.tv and scroll over Fan Zone, you’ll find the option for SNY Message Boards. Further, take yourself there to read all Mets-related topics of discussion. And, if you’re logged in, than you can do what I did – which is to write something that is precisely what you mentioned here.

That is, Can it get much worse?

My post was started on 6.9.2008 under my blog name – thebloggersbeat. The title is, Can it Get Worse? Wagner Doesn’t Think So

I’d hope you’d find it interesting, and you’re absolutely more than welcome to contribute as often as you wish. My post is happily doing rather well, with 56-Posts and 480-Views. Not bad.

In summarizing, I personally believe that things could absolutely get worse. The team can continue losing; the team can continue with their fragile ways that concludes with a trip to the DL; upper management can continue playing soap opera games which brew more negativity; and finally, in continuance with their losing, they could very well play themselves right out of playoff contention.

We deserve so much more from this team, and I know deep down that these players cannot stand losing; therefore, they want to prove a lot by showing balls-to-the-wall play.

It’s unbelievable how upper management has dealt with the on-going drama and soap opera. These are The Days of Our Lives: NY Mets. Maybe they’re trying to attract more female fans with the drama saga.

I truly thought management got the message when their highest-paid, and most reserved player, Carlos Beltran, expressed his concern by stating how all of this has been a distraction.

You’d hope that management would listen and realize how their on-going debate of Randolph’s job has been nothing short of team negativity. Beltran shouldn’t have needed to say anything, because any right-minded person could look no further than their record to determine the negative air going around.

Maybe the addition of Trot Nixon is a beginning to a bigger shake-up. We shall see.

The Trot Nixon thing isn't going to have a major impact on the team. He's a nice role player but that's about it.

They need to do something more drastic... A major trade or a managerial change in my opinion is the only way to go at this point.
