Six-days and Six-games – how this seems to be the biggest point of the NY Mets’ season. Two-series, two last-place teams, and two potential sweeps.
The NY Mets may still turn the corner down Positive Street with two series wins against the Rockies, which begins tonite, and then a welcome-home series against the worst team in baseball, the Seattle Mariners.
Nevertheless, by beating the teams they should beat--Rockies and Mariners--the NY Mets should be focused on two-straight sweeps to beat these dreadful teams – and not settle for 2-of-3.
It happens in every sport, and it happens to every team. The time comes when your season comes to a point of either moving up or moving down. The time can come during your first 2-games – such with football perhaps; the time can come during games 45-65 – such with hockey perhaps.
I believe it’s time for the NY Mets. Six-days and Six-games. With the Phillies catching the slump bug, and the Mets coming off an emotional—about time—victory, we could and should witness a huge week ahead of us.
Let’s Go!
